SPARE CHAIN & 2in1 FILE, Online Buying Guide for STIHL Chainsaws
Some folks have been having trouble finding the right spare chain for their chainsaw online, and I don't blame them it can be a bit difficult so we have made a quick guide for the most common chains to help you find the ones you need.
If unsure of chain size/length then count the drive links on your old chain (triangular pieces on inside of chain)
Note: the number of links for the different chains are different, make sure that you select the right ones and double check your part numbers with the ones that I have specified, particularly the last 2 digits as this specifies the number of Drive Links (so your chain fits your bar!).

If you want a sharpening file for your chainsaw so you can sharpen things up for yourself at home the we highly recommend the STIHL 2in1 File. The STIHL 2in1 File not only sharpens the teeth but also takes down the drags/depth gauges at the same time to make sure that each tooth has optimum chip size and that means easier cutting and less strain on you and the chainsaw. There are different size STIHL 2in1 Files and you can find the right one for your chainsaw by finsing your model chainsaw below and clicking on the associated link.
Sometimes when you are sharpening your chainsaw out in the field it can be tricky to hold it steady with 2 hands already on the file. In those instances a STIHL Stump Vice is a handy bit of kit to have at your side. Simply whack the stump vice into a stump or price of sturdy wood and you now have a secure way to hold your chainsaw while you sharpen it. Easy Az. There are 2 sizes of stump vices... one for battery chainsaws and small to medium chainsaw and one for larger chainsaws like the STIHL MS291 Farming chainsaw and bigger.
